No seed type suits every purpose, and each comes with its own limitations. Any honest discussion of what are feminized seeds should mention that they are unsuitable for traditional breeding, since no male plants are available to supply pollen. They also tend to cost more than regular seeds, reflecting the additional work involved in producing them. For growers interested solely in harvesting flowers, these drawbacks are usually minor compared with the convenience gained.
